Welcome on site dedicated for community working on the Multilingual encyclopaedic dictionary of types of documents. This page will show you the most important information about our project. The aim of project is to facilitate the exchange of bibliographical data in the scope of naming types of document. It is forming under the auspices of the DARIAH Bibliographical Data Working Group and directed by bibliographers from the Libary and Information Science Institute at the University of Wroclaw.

Bibliographical Data Working Group has online meeting during DARIAH-ERIC Annual Event. The main goal was discussion about WG’s activities in 2020, plans for 2021 and current states of projects fulfiled by members of WG. During this meeting the list of terms and the problem of equivalence of terms in the dictionary was also discussed.

The trial translation Polish terms into English (from class A.5. Types by manufacturing technique: 12 terms).
19 August 2020
The list of entries for Polish was established. The list contains 278 terms in 12 main classes.
25–27 February 2020
DARIAH Bibliographical Data Working Group was making booksprint in Prague. The main goal was discussion about document „An Analysis of the Bibliographical Data Landscape: Bibliodata curation, research, and collaboration in the humanities”. But during this meeting initial specification of the dictionary was also discussed.

Midas Browser was proposed as tool for data collecting for dictionary.
12 November 2019
The translation of initial specification into English was done. Another document – call for participation – also was formed.
13 September 2019
DARIAH board of directors approved mission statement of Bibliographical Data Work Group. From this point we are an official DARIAH work group.
19 July 2019
Initial specification of the dictionary in Polish was ready. The main goals of the dictionary and the first foundations of its construction were developed. Short after, this document has been accepted by coordinators of Work Group.
15 May 2019
During The DARIAH Annual Event 2019 at Warsaw (15–17 May 2019) took place first meeting of Bibliographical Data Work Group. The group developed the directions of its activities and constituted its identity for being approved by DARIAH. After this meeting the idea of the dictionary has been born. The project promoter is Jakub Maciej Łubocki – PhD student from Institute of Library and Information Science at University of Wrocław.
